Where Deckcell runs

Deckcell runs in PowerPoint for Windows, PowerPoint for Mac, PowerPoint on the web and Google Slides, with a companion add-in for Excel. Almost everything works everywhere; the exceptions come from what each app lets add-ins do.

“PowerPointApi 1.10” means the feature needs a PowerPoint version that supports that API; current Microsoft 365 builds do.

Requirements and notes

PowerPoint

Needs PowerPointApi 1.5 or later; grouping and slide ordering use 1.8 where available. Charts are placed for 16:9 slides.

Google Slides

Installed from the Extensions menu as a Google Workspace add-on; opens as a sidebar.

Excel

A companion add-in for Windows, Mac and the web that sends linked ranges to your charts.

iPad Coming soon

Support for PowerPoint for iPad is coming soon.

Phones

The PowerPoint and Google Slides phone apps don’t run add-ins, so Deckcell isn’t available there. Decks made with it open normally.

Other apps

Keynote and LibreOffice have no comparable add-in platform.
