Frequently asked questions
What is Deckcell?
Deckcell is an add-in for PowerPoint and Google Slides that turns pasted data into consulting-grade charts drawn as native, editable shapes, and adds layout tools, slide templates and deck checks in the same pane.
Do all features work in Google Slides?
Almost all. Charts, layout tools, templates, agenda, maps, flags and deck checks work in Google Slides. The team library, animation and proofing-language checks, saving selected slides, and the tools that adjust shape handles (angles, corners, arrow heads) are PowerPoint only, because Google Slides’ add-on platform has no equivalent. See what works where.
Is there anything Deckcell can’t do?
Neither PowerPoint nor Google Slides lets add-ins put drag handles on the slide, so charts are edited in the side pane rather than by dragging on the canvas. Image and icon libraries from stock providers, e-mailing slides and editing the slide master are also outside what add-ins can do today.
