One add-in instead of think-cell plus Efficient Elements

Many consulting and finance teams run think-cell for charts and Efficient Elements for layout and deck tools. Deckcell covers both jobs in one pane, in PowerPoint for Windows, Mac and the web and in Google Slides. You’d give up on-slide chart editing and a few desktop-only tools.

What you’d give up

On-slide chart editing

Charts are edited in the pane, not by dragging on the slide.

Master and template management

Add-ins can’t edit slide masters or switch a deck’s template.

E-mailing slides and partial PDF export

Not possible for add-ins today.

Stock image and icon libraries

Deckcell has flags and template icons, but no stock photo or icon provider.

Rolling it out

  1. Start a pilot with one team on new decks; existing charts keep working in the old tools.
  2. Create a style file with your brand colours and fonts, and share it.
  3. Start a team library and add the charts, texts and formats people reuse.
  4. Show people the three tools they’ll use most: charts, master-based alignment and Check presentation.

Frequently asked questions

Why would a team use two add-ins today?

think-cell is focused on charts, and Efficient Elements on layout, text and deck tools, so many teams license both.

Will our existing think-cell charts break?

No. They stay as they are. Deckcell doesn’t edit them; rebuild a chart in Deckcell when you next update it.
